Timothy McCutcheon
Tim McCutcheon, a seasoned capital markets and mining corporate manager, has over 25 years of international business experience. He held roles at Bear Stearns, Aton Capital, and Pioneer Investments as an award-winning metals and mining analyst and investment banker. In 2006, he co-founded DBM Capital Partners, a Eurasian mining bank with $130M AUM, later sold to a UK hedge fund. Since 2009, he has led mining firms with assets across Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Slovakia, Ghana, Mali, and Chile. Tim holds a BA and MBA from Columbia University.

Thomas Bowens
Thomas Bowens, founder of IG Global Group, has over 35 years as a Professional Geologist with key achievements in mineral exploration. Since 2010, he has led IG Asia’s operations, focusing on early-stage Copper, Gold, and Lithium projects across Mongolia, Russia, and Kazakhstan. His career highlights include discovering and selling the 1.5M-ounce Svetloye Gold deposit and divesting the Malmyzh Copper-Gold Project for $200M. In Utah, his team’s high-grade discovery led to a $177M sale to Osisko Development. Awarded Russia’s ‘Discovery Medal’ in 2016, Tom holds degrees in Economics, Geologic Engineering, and a Masters in Geology from Colorado School of Mines.

Phillip Pardo, Emeritus Professor of Accounting and Business Analytics at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, brings extensive expertise in corporate strategy, M&A, and blockchain asset implementation. His research in Accounting and Data Mining complements hands-on experience with Deloitte Tohmatsu, Toyota, and The Pentagon. Phillip has lectured worldwide, held academic leadership roles, and served as Vice Rector and Dean. A retired Rotary International member and two-time Past President, he has served in Switzerland and Kazakhstan.

Kassi Beisembetov
Kassi Beisembetov is a finance professional with over 20 years in international banking, including roles with HSBC and UniCredit. He has managed relationships with multinational corporations and led financial strategies for large infrastructure projects like BBOGP and Intergas. Kassi has arranged over $10B in facilities, covering syndications, Eurobonds, and credits. He holds a BSc from KIMEP University and is a CFA Level III candidate and LEAD Program participant at Stanford.

Nurlan Nurseit is an expert in metals and mining with extensive experience in operations, logistics consulting, project management, and business development. Skilled in building international partnerships, Nurlan also focuses on developing junior mining programs, bringing a strategic approach to each project.

Han Ilhan, BS, MS, PE, is a global mining executive and strategic advisor with 40+ years of experience spanning mine development, operations, financing, and corporate governance. He is Managing Director of Catalis Strategies, a US advisory firm bridging the demand and supply side of CRMs. Han develops partnership formation, investment readiness, and financing structures to accelerate bankable CRM supply chains. He crafts strategies for demand-side advanced economies to strengthen competitiveness through technology leadership, governance, and public capital that crowds in private investment. His M&A and joint venture experience enables him to translate strategic intent into financeable transactions that strengthen supply resilience.

Born, raised and educated in Montreal, Peter Sztyk is qualified to practice law in Quebec (1998) and New York (2004). A former senior associate of White & Case and LLGM, he worked out of New York, Moscow, Almaty and Bishkek on multiple mining and oil & gas acquisitions focused on the former Soviet Union, advising on related debt and equity financings. Peter is currently CLO of a dynamic engineering and technology investment platform that invests via its balance sheet and a VC fund it established and manages. He regularly advises on cross-border acquisition, finance and structuring needs in the energy, fintech, commodities trading and project development spaces.
